Update
We've added the capability for the aircraft involved in these missions to fire new weapons. We will be incorporating this into upcoming missions and offering a refit for the aircraft.cfg files for the aircraft your currently flying. Take a look at some screenshots and grab the new weapons!

If you start at Camp Rhino and the Marine unit has no texture go to your FS2002 Scenery Library Manager and "MOVEUP" Kandahar to a higher priority than bravo1 or camp rhino1. (ie. Kandahar(1) CampRhino1(2) Bravo1(3)).

Overview Mission #1
The first leg of this mission pack starts you at Camp Rhino, Afghanistan which is loaded with dynamic choppers undergoing another last heave toward Kandahar and the north!

From there you will fly north following a Marine unit for a brief drop at a location close by.

Next you fly alone northwards for about 20 mins or so and RV with Whiskey Papa. He's a well camouflaged UH-60 waiting for you to arrive. Without him and the Special Ops forces onboard you won't find the forward base camp! Track him taking off and follow him north to the Mountain Base Camp LZ.

You'll arrive at Forward base with a few minutes before the Sortie begins. 3 Ah-64s are waiting for your arrival.

After a brief rest the real mission begins. Fly with the pack toward your targets while ground units follow.

Some of the targets have already been lit up by F-18s overhead a few minutes earlier, you can't miss the smoke! Stick with your unit and return to forward base.

All planesimulations Afghan missions are "scenery missions" they do not contain text compiled ADV. It is up to you to stay within the parameters( follow the instructions below) and as always you can opt not to play the "mission" part as we designed it. The missions simply include you in the action unlike CFS2 which made you the center of the action play. A good example for Afghan missions is the Forward Mountain base AH-64s, if you are late arriving they will not wait to begin the mission and you'll arrive at an empty base. The same holds true for Mission 2 if you are late arriving or get lost enroute the action will be long over and there will only be smoking wrecks of targets left.

The Mission

Camp Rhino

Leg1
The time is 15:30. Camp Rhino. There is a Marine Bell 212 unit just ahead of you preparing to takeoff. Follow him toward first dropoff area.


Brief stop

Leg2
After touchdown Select NDB 410. We have given the Chopper Whiskey Papa this frequency for simplicity and also so that you can track him. Catch up with the stealthy Whiskey Papa and follow him to the Forward Mountain Base Camp.

Leg3
After a brief rest your airborne again with a sortie consisting of 4 AH-64s including you and a UH-60 lurking behind in support. Track the road north and stick with the unit and you'll find the targets nestled in a valley. F-18's landed a couple moments earlier so you can't miss 'em!

Leg4
Your original orders were to standby at Mountain Base Camp but you now have to return to Camp Rhino for some refits. Follow your flightplan back to Camp Rhino.

Install Instructions

1.) Double click the crpack1.exe file

2.)Browse to your FS2002 Scenery Folder (this crpack1.exe has the AH-64 included. Cut and paste the folder ah64ps to your FS2002 Aircraft Folder. You can also download the Aircraft separately if you wish)

3.)Click extract

3.)Find the folder Camp Rhino1 >> go to the effects folder >> copy and paste all files found in effects to your FS2002 effects folder. (Make a back-up of all your effects first.)

4.)Start Flight Simulator and add the sceneries Kandahar and Camp Rhino1

5.)Go to airport and find the scenery menu entry for Camp Rhino.

6.)Select Camp Rhino - Start time 15:30
